CKISS Pulling together walk, work and learn
Join CKISS and the Castlegar Parks and Trails Society for a rewarding day of community action to help restore native habitat along the Waldie Island Trail close to Castlegar. With guidance from CKISS staff, volunteers will use hand tools to remove invasive plants along the trail, helping to protect local biodiversity and improve wildlife habitats, all while learning invasive plant identification and removal techniques. Bring water, snacks, good shoes, appropriate clothes and work gloves, though extras will be available for those who need them.
