The lakeside above Kootenay Lake by Argenta and Johnsons Landing was left unprotected aftert the creation of the Purcell Wilderness Conservancy nearly 50 years ago. In recent years with logging in the area and RCMP arrest of 22 in a protest camp, the issue is still hanging out there. Joe Foy a long-time campaigner for protecting wild nature with the Wilderness Committee called for pressure on the government to finally act.

Clean Energy Canada said BC households could save money, up to nearly $1,000 or more a year, if they install heat pump heating. And the province would cut electricity consumption at the same time. Jana Albrecht at Clean Energy co-authored a report that calls on the province to make a big move on heat pumps. She calls it a win win win.

Disinformation and malicious media content is arguably the most potent political force in North America right now. And it’s rooted in deceit. Aaron Korbacher researches and presents workshops on disinformation and how to deal with it. He’s back for a second instalment of our long look at the problem of disinformation
