Prime Minister Mark Carney seems to have essentially dismantled Canadian climate policy through the Alberta special deal announced this month. It’s such a huge change in direction we’re doing a second look at it, this time with Keith Brooks from Environmental Defence who outlines some major issues with the big energy deal.
Back in September, Tofino announced that is banning all sing use plastic bottles one litre and under. Lilly Woodrow from the Surfrider Foundation campaigned for the ban and tells us about why it took five years to get it and why it’s important. This interview first aired back on September 16.
Filmmaker Daniel Pierce talks brought his documentary Trouble in the Headwaters to Nelson back in September. Anyone who takes water from a creek, stream or lives downstream will want to see this investigation into the major Grand Forks flooding in 2017 and 2018. Dan Pierce explains that when scientists came to investigate the cause of the flood, they concluded clear cut forestry was a major factor. Daniel Pierce talked about his doc on the show back on September 2.
