Where does your drinking water come from? EcoCentric host Solita Work speaks with people who are all too aware of threats to their drinking water. Winlaw resident Theresa Lewis has been forced to truck in water in for several summers. Slocan residents are concerned about logging plans up the mountain, local Lisa Parente tells us more. In Bonnington and Beasley residents are organizing to have a say in clearcutting proposals above their waterboxes. Jessica Hewitt talks about it. Former RDCK director Ramona Faust with the West Kootenay Watershed Collaborative sums up some of the issues communities face protecting their water supplies.

Friends of Falls Creek is hosting a fundraising festival to support the Bonnington and Beasley communities against BC Timber Sales proposed commercial logging in the watershed. A day of music, thought, and gathering to show gratitude for nature’s life giving source.

Chef Rosh Kubelka of Hume Hotel will be sharing some of his favorite foods available for purchase.
