NANAIMO PLAN TO PHASE OUT GAS.
LISTEN OR DOWNLOAD JAN 2 SHOW HERE:
News came out just before Christmas that the BC Utilities Commission had turned back a Fortis BC proposal for a $350 million gas pipeline expansion in the Okanagan. Sue Kirschman gives us an update from the citizens group First Things First Okanagan.
The province’s Clean BC plan calls for the Step Building to move to Zero Emissions by 2030 but many local municipalities are moving faster. We have Kathryn-Jane Hazel an environmental activist in Nanaimo on to give us an update on that City’s plan to stop gas installation in new buildings right away.
