
Rainbow Eyes and other visitors from Fairy Creek drummed a message of hope, power and resistance to rally on Baker Street. Local Last Stand West Kootenays folks joined in a Saturday Oct. 16 that ended up in a drumming and singing rally at the intersection of Baker and Jossephine in Nelson. Nelson could soon have small low speed electric vehicles making local trips fossil fuel free and the Kootenay Carshare Coop is spearheading the idea. I speak with Colleen Doyle from the Carshare Coop about the low speed electric vehicle concept.
The Executive Director of the West Kootenay EcoSociety, Montana Burgess was given a national Emerging Leader award by the Clean 50 organization. We caught up with Montana to talk about it, and an update on the ongoing programs of the EcoSociety.
