
The Covid-19 pandemic and the dramatic changes it has forced on us are the focus of a discussion with Nelson educator Jan Inglis. She talks about how these changes are working through, and whether some could be for the better?
Last week the Canadian Supreme Court pulled the plug on the 2nd major appeal from First Nations against the approval and ‘consultation’ on the TransMountain pipeline expansion… the bitumen pipe from Bruderheim, Alberta to Burnaby, BC. We hear from Chief Leah Wilson from the T’sleil Waututh, one of the three First Nations who brought the case.
Last month the province announced its Active Transportation grants which included over $400,000 for the bike route in Nelson. Colin Stein executive director of the BC Cycling Coalition says the province is not really stepping up in encouraging non vehicle transport. We’ll talk to him about it.
